Use the Začinka spice mixture for quick soups (3g per ¼ litre of water) or as an addition to enrich the flavour of numerous meat and vegetable dishes, such as beef soup, goulash, beans and sauerkraut soup, variety stews, risottos and pasta sauces,...

Ingredients: kitchen salt, flavour enhancer (monosodium glutamate), sugar, dried vegetables (carrots, parsley, parsnips, onion), lactose, natural spices and spice extracts (pepper, celery, etc.), colouring (riboflavin).

- Did you know? -

Monosodium glutamate was first isolated from the seaweed called Kombu in 1908. This seaweed is the main ingredient in typical Japanese dishes and scientists were interested why all these dishes have a distinctive flavour completely different from anything we can describe with the four classic sweet-bitter-sour-salty tastes. This is how they discovered glutamate and named the flavour umami. Both the Kombu seaweed and glutamate itself are important ingredients in numerous Japanese, Chinese and other Asian specialties.
